    Core Curriculum: Improving partner connection, spin, partner technique, arm tension, pivoting, spotting etc. Basic shines, weight transfer and body movement is introduced in this class.

    Pre-requisites: Dancers have understanding of cross body lead, inside turn, right & left turn, wrap patterns. Understanding of arm tension, follow & lead pivot and spotting, correct positioning concepts. Good level of On2 timing is required. Must be able to identify Clave, Conga(Tumbao) rhythm and consistently be on time.

Salsa Level 1 Advanced Partnerwork

    Core Curriculum: Building on the foundations from level 1 int, adding more materials in proper weight transfer, basic body coordination/movement exercise, drilling & improve execution of patterns, partner connection, spin & partner technique.

    Pre-requisites: Dancers are very comfortable in executing cross body lead, inside turn, right & left turn, wrap, and or under arm, basic arm toss patterns. Good level of arm tension, follow & lead pivot and spotting technique, positioning, weight transfer technique during partner work. Proficient, 100% accuracy in On2 timing is required. Basic understanding of musicality, must be able to dance beginner level shines with correct coordination, weight transfer, timing.

    • Students are evaluated on their understanding of On2 salsa foundation, timing, rhythm, individual technique, and partnerwork technique.

    • Evaluations are FREE and are not a class — they are based solely on your current dance ability.

    • Class spots are limited and assigned based on paid registration.

    • Visit each class’s registration page to view specific prerequisites.

    • Dance shoes are recommended, but not required.

    • All students must wear shoes — soft sole shoes are preferred for safety and movement.

    Core Curriculum: Enhanced dance mechanics, rhythm and timing during partner combinations, partner connection, and spin & partner technique. Intermediate to Advanced Shines.

    Pre-requisites: Dancers are proficient in executing all L1 Beg through L1 Adv fundamental dance principles and combinations, and are comfortable with multiple right & left turns, over under arm connections, basic arm tosses/tricks & flicks, Int/Adv shines, weight transfer & basic body isolation and dance mechanics.

    Technical & mechanical breakdown of salsa foundational movements that includes:
